ABOUT

Why this practice exists

Most people arrive here after being told, more than once, that there is nothing wrong with them.

Rosalin Thompson-Cordoba is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than eight years in hormone and metabolic health.

Over those years the same pattern kept repeating. Patients would come in exhausted, bloated or unable to lose weight, having already had their bloodwork run and been told it was normal. Standard panels are built to catch disease. They are not built to explain why someone feels unwell, and a result inside the reference range is not the same as a result that is right for you.

Thrive With Functional Medicine grew out of that gap. The approach is deliberately unglamorous: look properly, measure the right things, read the results against what is optimal rather than what is merely not alarming, and build a plan the person can actually follow. No packages, no protocols handed out before results are in, and no promises made before a single number has been seen.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

How this is different from a fifteen minute appointment

Time.

Appointments are long enough to take a full history, because the history is usually where the answer starts.

Continuity.

You see the same clinician every visit. Rosalin reviews your labs herself and writes your plan herself.

Plain language.

You will understand what your results mean and why each recommendation follows from them.

Honesty.

If something is outside what functional medicine can help with, you will be told, and pointed somewhere more useful.

THE THRIVE METHOD

Four steps, in the same order, every time

No guessing, and no protocol handed out before your results are in. Every recommendation traces back to something measured.

1

Listen

A full history of your symptoms, timeline, medications and what has already been tried. This shapes everything that follows.

2

Measure

Targeted lab work, drawn near you or collected at home, chosen for your presentation rather than a fixed panel.

3

Interpret

Results read against optimal ranges, not only against what is flagged abnormal, and explained to you in plain language.

4

Adjust

A written plan you can actually follow, then repeat testing and changes as your numbers and symptoms shift.

You see the same clinician every visit. Not a rotating panel, not a questionnaire and an algorithm. Rosalin reviews your labs herself and writes your plan herself.

Start with a conversation, not a commitment

Fifteen minutes, no charge, no pressure. If I am not the right person to help you, I will say so and point you somewhere better.
